Shot exclusive footage of the second artificial heart transplant at Humana Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky for worldwide television network distribution.

Received the prestigious Michael E. DeBakey, M.D. Award given for the finest educational entry of the year in the International Health and Medical Awards for Infant & Toddler Emergency First Aid, Volumes 1 & 2 in 1995.

Shot the first footage of the crater floor of Mt. St. Helens volcano for CBS Network News on May 31, 1981.

Traveled with many presidential and vice presidential campaigns for CBS News including Agnew, Bush, Carter, Church, Hart, Humphrey, Jackson, Mondale, McGovern, and Reagan campaigns.

Shot assignments for Australian, British, Italian, and Japanese television. Freelance still photographer and radio news reporter from 1966 to 1970. Reported local and area news for KIMN radio, Denver, Colorado. Covered British elections from London for KIMN in 1970. Radio news stringer for radio stations KOA, KBTR, KTLN, KHOW, KLAK, WBZ, WINS, WLS, and KDKA. Freelance reporter for UPI Audio, ABC and NBC network radio news.

Freelance television cameraman for UPITN and TVN news services. Traveled throughout the U.S. from 1968 to 1971 covering national and international news events on film.

Covered the events during the occupation of Wounded Knee, South Dakota in 1973 for CBS News. Spent more than 45 days inside the village during fierce gun fire and was the only cameraman to film the events when the 71 day takeover of the village by Ogallala Sioux Indians ended. Footage was used in the 1992 documentary "Incident at Ogallala" narrated by Robert Redford. Also appeared on camera in the documentary.

White House pool cameraman for CBS News during President Ford's stay in Vail, Colorado. Shot slow motion film of President Ford skiing that appeared on all major television networks.

In 1971 was the reporter who broke story that Senator George McGovern was dropping Senator Thomas Eagleton from ticket as a vice presidential candidate. Covered the Kennedy family from Hyannis Port, Massachusetts during the summers of 1966 to 1969 for WBZ radio, Boston.

Covered the Pope's visit to the United States for CBS News in 1979.

Shot numerous cover stories and nature segments for "CBS Sunday Morning" with Charles Kuralt.
